ABOUT

 

Woods Entertainment is a Toronto based production company that has a focus on fiction film with both commercial and philosophical merit. The prodco’s second feature, MEAN DREAMS (2016) starring Sophie Nélisse, Josh Wiggins, Colm Feore & Bill Paxton made its premiere in the 2016 edition of the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes and had its North American premiere at TIFF.

 

Currently in post-production is THE KID DETECTIVE starring Adam Brody and Sophie Nélisse, and is the debut feature from Evan Morgan. The company has also recently wrapped post-production on two features, CASTLE ON THE GROUND (2020), starring Alex Wolff, Imogen Poots, Neve Campbell, Keir Gilchrist, and Tom Cullen, which premiered at TIFF, and SPINSTER (2019), starring Chelsea Peretti, which is set to premiere at Whistler Film Festival.

 

The company is also in post-production on LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE (2020) starring Sarah Sutherland and HAMMER (2019) starring Will Patton and Mark O’Brien.

President

William Woods is a Toronto based Producer with a focus on feature films that have both commercial and philosophical merit. He began his career with the thriller Mean Dreams (Elevation, 2016), starring Sophie Nélisse, Josh Wiggins, Colm Feore and Bill Paxton, which premiered in the Directors Fortnight at Cannes and had its’ North American premiere at TIFF.  Woods most recent films produced includes Castle in the Ground (2020), starring Alex Wolff, Imogen Poots, Neve Campbell, Keir Gilchrist, and Tom Cullen, which premiered at TIFF, The Kid Detective (2020) starring Adam Brody, which was nominated for the John Dunning Best First Feature Film Award at the CSAs, Like a House on Fire (2020) starring Sarah Sutherland, Hammer (2019) starring Will Patton, and Spinster (2019) starring Chelsea Peretti, which premiered at Whistler Film Festival. Will is currently in development for a new feature, The King Tide.
